What am I doing?

Hello.
My name is John “Raven/Raven575” Loser Jr.
You ask, why am I doing any of this?

The way the world is heading right now feels wrong.
I grew up in the 1980s/90s and there were amazing times and heartbreaking times, but it still felt like “The American Dream” was still an attainable goal.
We watched our grandparents, who survived World War II, living seemingly content lives. They had homes, families, and could send their children to college. One adult could earn enough to support a family of four or more, with money left over for vacations.

My generation is forced to have TWO or more adults in a household working or more jobs to barely survive.
Progress toward civil rights, though slow, was moving forward…

Over a century of hard-fought civil rights gains are being dismantled by the current administration. Our government is censoring media voices and brazenly ignoring congressional authority. This regime is harassing, enslaving, abusing, and even killing its own citizens.

This is my attempt to record those reported deaths.

Hopefully, my portraits will help.
Hopefully, my collection of records for each victim will help.

Maybe, just maybe, the world will help me record these stories so that these losses will not be forgotten.
